Challenge

My relationship with GT Motive goes back many years, when I was working for another company where we had to be familiar with appraisal tools for business relations with leasing, fleets and insurance companies.
The challenge differed from company to company (leasing, fleets and insurance companies):
1. Having an appraisal environment with unified criteria and methods.
2. Streamlining of processes.
3. Reliable data.
4. Fleet coverage above 85%.
At Autofit, the challenges are different but they do complement the ones above:
1. Offer products as a network that afford added value to the workshop.
2. For this product to be recognised for its quality.
3. For it to integrate with our DMS.
4. Single contact, workshop training, speedy response, partner relationship.
Above and beyond these challenges, which could easily be applied to the majority of customers, the biggest challenge for Autofit and for me personally has always been to instil a culture of efficiency in the workshops, and this can only happen now with the use of reliable and technologically advanced tools.

Solution

From the outset, we adopted the global estimating solution, which is integrated with our DMS, taking out full-usage licenses in 90% of cases and a minimum of others limited to mechanics.
The solutions offered by GT Motive covered all the challenges that we considered but as the years have gone by, we have had to negotiate a better flow of information on user data.
Ultimately, we act as partners of GT Motive, teaching the end customer about the advantages of using appraisal tools (specifically those of GT Motive), which we show and demonstrate to them as well as helping to train them in how to use the tools.
The one thing that I most appreciate is the availability of GT Motive staff, their vision of the business environment and their communication strategy, approachable by workshops but sophisticated enough for large fleets and/or insurance companies.

Results

The results are positive: almost 100% of network associates with bodywork business have contracted GT Estimate with our mediation and, for us, it’s all part of the essential give-and-take that brings added value to our partners.
The KPIs that we measure are currently limited to numerical use of the software by associates (estimates, VIN Query, etc.) and accounting.
Our business position has improved with GT Motive. Nonetheless, I remain convinced that we can make progress in detailed data analysis although it is not currently a priority.
